Leadership is Personal.

Wright Coaching works in partnership with clients who are ready to take charge of their personal or professional lives. In the confidential space of the coaching relationship, we work with clients to define clear goals and co-create the path forward toward success.

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.” – Amelia Earhart

Working with Marijo was the best investment I could have made in my own personal growth and development!” – Courtney W.

As a writer, Marijo empathizes with fellow writers who at times struggle with “writer’s block” or looming deadlines. She coaches and supports these clients through projects and if requested reads drafts and provides feedback.

There are myriad reasons clients contact Marijo for coaching. The reasons share a common thread: Clients seek clarity about a path they believe they must make if they are to have agency of their lives.

Before the breakup of my family I had been a fairly successful writer. I had a book published by a major NYC publishing house, was working on a second one, and had also had articles frequently appear in major US newspapers. But the other huge casualty of my divorce was that I suddenly found myself unable to write. I was really thrilled to discover that Marijo is an amazing editor. She is the best one I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with a lot. Whether you need a life coach to bring you through a difficult time, or an editor, you will be lucky to work with Marijo.– Adele L

I recently hired Marijo to copy edit a biography that I co-wrote. She did an outstanding job! She tightened our writing, caught the typos and grammatical mistakes, and maintained a soft touch throughout. Editing is a talent. Not all can do it, no less do it well. Marijo is a master!– Bob F.

I so much appreciate our talks as it helped to narrow my focus and gave me much to think about. This is a huge step in the right direction for me.– Conor B.

I never understood coaching until I slammed into a decision point in my life. Fortunately, I have a dear friend, who is an experienced coach. She offered to help me do the work to reach the decision I had to make.

That coaching experience –me as a client– made me realize this was work wanted to do. Shortly after, I completed Leadership for Organizational Performance at American University and became a certified leadership coach. It is gratifying, fulfilling work to support clients as they strive to become leaders of their personal or professional lives.

Before I became a coach, I enjoyed many years in journalism as a television producer and writer. That career afforded me the privilege to meet and understand people and circumstances I otherwise never would have.

I live in the Washington, DC, area with my Labradoodle, Gus.
